Homer, Alaska is located at the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula, 225 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. It is accessible by car, plane, or boat. Where are the Cook Inlet Buying Stations for Icicle Seafoods, Inc?

The main buying station is located in Homer at 842 Fish Dock Road at the end of the Homer Spit. We maintain buying stations in Ninilchik, 40 miles north of Homer, and beach sites at Coho Beach, Salamatoff, Kalifornsky Beach and the Kasilof Barge. They are all located between 40-80 miles north of Homer in the Kenai area. Transportation is provided to the other sites as necessary.

What type of work is available for employees?

The Cook Inlet Buying stations are responsible for offloading fish to be shipped to our processing plant in Seward. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, pitching, icing, sorting and grading fish according to species and quality. We do not guarantee the amount of hours available to work. At the end of our salmon season, workers may have the option of being transferred to the Seward Plant to continue working.

Can a person be hired over the telephone and guaranteed work prior to arriving?

No, we do not conduct interviews or hire employees over the telephone or Internet. We only conduct interviews in person at the Homer Office and do not guarantee that there will be work available when you arrive.
